plans for new year
Though I almost have no time to post here, I plan to add some interesting stuff on bending and things that i found while practicing diminished harmonica. Also I want to record some videos of tunes i play with examples of different approaches to learn how to improvise using diminished tuning.

Very useful resourses in the internet
I want to mention some very useful resources which help me with my jazz studies.
The first is what I've just found. It's called Effortless Harmonica and is hosted by one of the best chromatic player on modern jazz and Brazilian music scene Wim Dijkgraaf. He is also famous for his springless CX-12 mode and his approach to improvisation.
Effortless Harmonica
There is a very clear approach to jazz tunes and scales. It remind s me old jazz guitarist's tradition where the CHORD TONES is the key thing and all other notes work as passing tones.
The second site I'd like to mention is called jazzeveryone. Here you'll find a very solid pentatonic pairs approach and immediately start to play in all 12 keys. I added Willie Thomas exercises to my daily practice. These exercises are easy to play on dimi harp and guitar.
You can try the free lesson and mothly payment is only 10 dollars( relatively cheap, I think:) . There also special discount programms almost each month.

Draw position major scale
Here's DRAW position major scale. I colored the two added notes the 4th and 7th degree. Again, we have the situation where couples of notes : 1 and 6, 3 and 5, 2,4,7 steps are in the same position

Haven't been here for a long time because i was buzy with my work and gigs with my band:).
Anyway, I plan to add some usefull info and finally,some examples with diminished harmonica.

finding america:) BLOW position major scale made easy
I'm studying scales on my dimi harp. Very funny and looks like I'm searching for very well known things:).
So to make a major scale you need ad a TRITONE to a pentatonic. The 4th and the 7th steps. I'll start again with pentatonics we've already talked about but for now major ones. I will not forget minor pentatonics and next time we'll make minor scales and blues scale out of them.
So for this time let's take the same pictures, but invert them a bit to make parallel major pentatonics.
This is major pentatonic in BLOW position with added 4th and 7th
Since added notes form a tritone( a part of the diminished 7 chord) they are in the same position. I mean they both are draw notes. You see how easy it is to locate all the scale steps:)
1st and 6th are BLOW
3rd and 5th are BEND
2nd, 4th and 7th are DRAW
